
KAF Fellow Anya Gallaccio to create The AIDS Memorial in London

KAF Fellow (2023-2025) Anya Gallaccio has been commissioned to create The AIDS Memorial in London, due to be unveiled at the end of 2027. The news was announced today by AIDS Memory UK (AMUK), an organisation that aims to raise awareness of the continuing impact of HIV/AIDS.
Anya Gallaccio is the current holder of the Kenneth Armitage Foundation Fellowship (2023–2025), and later this year, Turner Contemporary in Margate will present preserve, the largest survey exhibition of her practice to date (28 September 2024–12 January 2025). Also this autumn, Gallaccio will bring her artwork Stroke to her birth town of Paisley, Scotland, for Jupiter+, a creative project by Jupiter Artland which uses art to promote agency and activism in young people.
